Silverhawk Aviation is an expert in avionics repairs, modifications, and upgrades as a dealer for Garmin, Aspen Avionics, Bendix King, and PS Engineering.  In addition to being able to troubleshoot and repair existing avionics equipment, Silverhawk has completed many full avionics upgrade installations of flight decks, taking advantage of the latest offerings of glass-cockpit systems.  After evaluating your existing avionics equipment for communication, navigation, ATC surveillance, and hazard avoidance capabilities, we will recommend a complete solution which will put your aircraft in compliance with the FAA’s NextGen air traffic management requirements, as well as providing the latest technology available.

We will manage the entire project for you from start to finish, including an analysis of regulatory approval options through the FAA.  For each install, our project manager will coordinate with you and our engineering and install teams to develop a comprehensive timeline to ensure an on-time and squawk-free delivery.  This process will include careful development and testing of designs and specifications from the approved design criteria, fabrication of wiring harness assemblies, installation components, and panels, and final assembly of all components to result in the panel of your dreams.

Some of the leading avionics flight deck upgrades available through Silverhawk Aviation include but are not limited to:

  • Justin Haack, Avionics Manager
    Justin Haack, Avionics Manager

After several years working for Crete Aviation as an A&P and getting introduced to the wide world of avionics, Justin performed numerous Garmin and S-Tec installations as well as various trouble shooting on many different types and builds of systems. In 2007, he was selected to attend training at Rocket Engineering to familiarize with the JetProp DLX aircraft, a converted Piper Malibu Mirage with a Pratt and Whitney PT6A-35 Turboprop engine. This was his first taste of turboprop aircraft in a real world experience, and he loved it.

In 2008, Justin decided to further his experience and started at Silverhawk Aviation as an A&P with Avionics experience. Over the next 2 years he transitioned from maintenance to avionics working with customers to achieve their modification goals, or figure out stubborn equipment problems – all while gaining trust, experience and a reputation second-to-none. In 2015, he was moved into an Avionics Managers Position. It has been a greatly rewarding experience, and the great team at Silverhawk all have their eyes on the future looking to what is yet to come.

“All work has been completed on time, period! When they call and say your airplane is ready, it’s ready! Their knowledge and experience is the best. I feel completely comfortable when my King Air is in their shop. Even though I live in Texas, the extra time it takes to get my airplane to their shop is well worth it.”
